Gulbadin Naib is a horrible captain and Afghanistans squad is flawed
Gulbadin behaves like that one kid who owns the bat and ball and chooses single handedly who's bowling. He really needs to stop hogging overs. They should have made Mohammad Shahzad or Asghar Afghan (although he should really be dropped) the captain.
I was really upset about how the Afg Management shoved out Mohammad Shahzad who was Afghanistan's best hope of getting big scores.
Also dropping Hamid Hassan despite him bringing pure pace to the attack and Gulbadin bowling at 120 expecting to get wickets.
Also what concerns me is the fact that the Afghanistan cricket board don't seem to allow younger players to play in their ODI squad. Let me just remind everyone that Afghanistan's under 19 squad performed brilliantly in their last u19 world cup.
Also the batting order confuses me so much. Hazratullah Shahidi should clearly come in at 4-5 Because he actually brings an explosive element to the side and Gulbadin shouldn't be opening but probably in at 7. Also let Ikram Ali Khil should promoted to opener. Nabi and Rashid should also be promoted.

With 11 matches remaining in the WC it's exciting that there are only two matches that are Dead Rubber in terms of Top 4 qualification as of now. Depending on how early NZ, India, and England qualifies for the Semi's there are potentially 4 additional matches that can be dead rubbers but that is unlikely. Respective fans are hoping their teams qualify earlier but for the sake of excitement I think NZ vs Eng, and Bang vs Pak should be eliminators if Eng loses to India, NZ loses to Aus, SL beats SA and WI and Pak/Bang win both their prior matches. Also if SL, Pak & Bang lose their matches and ENG & NZ wins their then by Bang vs India match we could have our TOP 4 and remaining matches would become dead rubber. After a streak of some interesting close encounters among many sides to make their way towards semi finals this week, we have another interesting clash to witness. India is now the only side in tournament who is yet to be defeated, India have 9 points after 5 games with 4 wins and 1 wash out. On the other side West Indies have not been in their best of form in this tournament yet, they have 3 points from 6 games with 1 win and 1 washout. West Indies are not yet officially out of the tournament, but they have very thin chances considering BAN, SL & PAK performing top notch and ENG bottling it as usual, but losing this match will knock them out from tournament from every permutation and combination. Considering all the mentioned points we can expect a cracker of contest between these two, moreover when you have best hitter and top ranked batter along with top notch bowler, it can never be a boring affair. Haris Sohail Run Out Descision Wrong?
So when I saw highlights of this decision I think the third umpire got this one wrong.
Here's a BBC link (may not work for people outside UK without VPN): Haris Sohail Run Out
The issue is Martin Guptill dislodges the bail (zinger bails light up) with Haris Sohail short of the crease and thus given out.
However, if you watch on, the bails do NOT come out (they drop back into their groove) and subsequently the ball falls out of his hands. The wickets are actually broken by Martin Guptill's feet on the follow through with no ball in hand - also note by this time Haris Sohail is home.
I know it didn't matter in the end but I was just wondering if this should have been Not Out and if it is, hopefully ICC officials take note for the future.

Thoughts: I’d be utterly pissed if Bhuvi replaces Shami
Why are India so afraid of not playing Bhuvi? Yea yeah yeah, he adds batting depth but he has barely batted which means he’s not really needed for batting. Shami arguably has better form right now and even had better form coming into this WC so I was surprised that he isn’t first choice. Who has better swing shouldn’t even be a discussion so seriously, they won’t be compromising anything if all 3 seamers play which is my preference. Also, Kohli said he isn’t available for 3 matches so I hope he sticks to his words. Extreme pace has been the ultimate highlight of this world cup, look at Starc, Archer and even Bumrah with his dot balls. Shami is bowling 145 so please continue him, he hasn’t done anything wrong.
