With 11 matches remaining in the WC it's exciting that there are only two matches that are Dead Rubber in terms of Top 4 qualification as of now. Depending on how early NZ, India, and England qualifies for the Semi's there are potentially 4 additional matches that can be dead rubbers but that is unlikely. Respective fans are hoping their teams qualify earlier but for the sake of excitement I think NZ vs Eng, and Bang vs Pak should be eliminators if Eng loses to India, NZ loses to Aus, SL beats SA and WI and Pak/Bang win both their prior matches. Also if SL, Pak & Bang lose their matches and ENG & NZ wins their then by Bang vs India match we could have our TOP 4 and remaining matches would become dead rubber. NOTE: I am considering only matches that impact qualification in Semi's and not matches that impact rankings in the Semi's. [link] [comments] |
