I am thinking of guys who were selected for their batting, and probably didnt feature as a major part of the the bowling attack.
Steve Waugh comes to mind as a great part time bowler.
For New Zealand Nathan Astle was a great part timer, as well as Kane Williamsom, though he bowls a lot less and is not as good since he had to change his bowling action.
