What is the one opposition player that once upon a time, you hated the most and wanted to be smashed around or knocked over brutally, but eventually ended up respecting him and in fact enjoying his past performances?

For me, it was Ricky Ponting. Absolutely hated him. Right from the abandoned match of the 2003 world Cup final, and the famous 2008 test series, his statements before the final of the CB series, to the Champions Trophy 2010 win celebrations. As I grew older, I started appreciating what an outstanding batsman and a Champion player he was.
