What do you think abt JL as a coach so far?

He took over a very difficult job at a very difficult time with the sandpaper gate and all.

Had two of his finest batsmen missing for a year.

At a time the country had turned away from the game.

And he's changed it and how! India first up were an incredibly difficult opponent and hopefully next summer will be different, but it was the 3 wins in a row in India that changed the team and it's belief.

Incredible wins there and confidence build over in UAE.

A massive reintegration and it's gone okay I gather. Team didn't overachieve in WC but didn't do badly either. And now 251 runs win in England vs England.

He's turned it around. There's something immensely likeable abt both the tests and ODI squads that wasn't there last ashes we won 4-0. There are players stepping up, young and experienced, the arrogance levels are down, brave but amazing selection calls be it sitting out Starc and Hazelwood or getting Wade in.

While not forgetting things can change very quickly, the Aussie cricket team is watchable again, which it wasn't for at least 2-3 years in between. It's become something we can get behind again, root for again and it just isn't because results were right, it started vs India at home. It started with Paine taking over and Cummins stepping up and a fightback when all chips were done and over with at MCG.

JL - always thought he was fantastic with Perth in the BBL, but it seems Aussie cricket is in serious good hands. Love his coaching appointments too, be it Ponting for the WC or Steve Waugh for Ashes.
