So obviously there are several different types of balls used in test matches (Dukes, SG, Kookaburra) and host countries are allowed to choose their ball. However does anyone know if there are and ICC regulations that mean countries have to keep their balls consistent?
Teams could use this to their advantage by changing the ball to suit particular opponents. For example as a Kiwi I could see us using the Kookaburra ball against England, as their bowlers generally require swing. However if Australia were to tour I would argue we would have a higher chance of beating them with the Dukes ball as the Kookaburra generally responds better to out and out pace, which New Zealand doesn't have and Australia does.
Anyone know if this would be allowed and thoughts on whether it would be a good idea to implement?
