I used to love Cricinfo. Since the move to ESPN, I feel like it has gone terribly downhill. Anyone else feel the same? Open to other perspectives.

I just feel like the vibe of Cricinfo hasn't been the same since they changed over to ESPN.

I used to love the way Cricinfo looked and felt. It felt more like a test match. It felt like a bunch of old friends who were true cricket fans, just enjoying the game and talking about it. It felt like a lovely summer's day watching a test on the grass banks.

Whereas now, the app just seems so much more in your face, the colours are brighter and made to draw attention. There's far more articles at all, and then on top of that, they all have such clickbaity headings. The app is no longer simple and to the point, it's now over the top with too many places to navigate. The commentary seems to always pick purposefully controversial comments, rather than thoughtful analysis of the game. And when they do pick a touchy comment, they seem to engage, and start a back and forth, instead of picking comments that actually contribute to the commentary.

Maybe I'm just a laggard, who can't move into the future, but I miss the old Cricinfo and what it felt like.
