Lineal T20 Champion

I've already posted the Test and ODI lineal champions but now it's time to finish the trilogy by looking at our T20 lineal champs. A lineal champion is the guy who beat the guy who beat the guy.

Rules stay the same. 1. Whoever wins the first series of a format will be the original champions. Draws will be discounted. 2. We will be using series results and not individual match results unless it is a one off match. 3. Draws will mean the defending champion keeps the title. (Official draws only. Looking at you Prudential Trophy) 4. Multi national series (such as world cups or the Asian Test Championship) are counted as a collection of one off games.

The format will list the new lineal champion and the year they assumed the title. With that said let's look at our lineal T20 champions.

Lineal T20 Champions Australia 2004/05 - England 2005 - Sri Lanka 2006 - Pakistan 2007/08 - India 2007/08 - Australia 2007/08 - West Indies 2008 - Sri Lanka 2009 - Pakistan 2009 - Australia 2009/10 - England 2010 - India 2012 - Australia 2012 - Pakistan 2012 - Sri Lanka 2012 - West Indies 2012 - Pakistan 2013 - South Africa 2013/14 - Australia 2013/14 - Pakistan 2014 - West Indies 2014 - Sri Lanka 2014 - Pakistan 2015 - England 2015/16 - South Africa 2015/16 - Australia 2015/16 - New Zealand 2016 - England 2016 - West Indies 2016 - Pakistan 2016/17 - Australia 2018 - Pakistan 2018 - South Africa 2018/19 - England 2019/20...

So in a similar vein as our ODI lineal championship England is our T20 lineal champion and Australia will have the next chance to win the title when they play England in July.
