Mildly interesting: no Pakistani spinner has ever taken 300 test wickets. India has 3 (Kumble, Harbhajan, Ashwin) and SL has 2 (Murali, Herath). All other major sides except SA (traditional pace attack) and England (Underwood got 297) have at least one spinner to get 300

Watching a Mushtaq Ahmed video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3uf8vjDlcVg) I realized it was a crime that he never got even 200 test wickets. In fact, Pakistan has 5 spinners that got b/w 185 and 260 test wickets (Kaneria, Qadir, Yasir, Saqlain, Mushtaq), numbers we would consider good or very good but not great. Though all these bowlers were individually good enough to get 300 (if Lyon can get there...), but for whatever reason, it didn't happen for them.
