Weird stats, but okay

The other day before the MI RCB game, I made a post of weird stats and people seemed to like it. SO I am here with some more of those today

  1. Since 2013, whenever Delhi and Mumbai have played an afternoon game, Delhi have won. It has happened all the 5 times, and in this period, MI have an 8-2 record in the night games. Prior to 2013, MI had a 3-1 head to head against Delhi in afternoon games
  2. Gayle got out on 99 yesterday, becoming the only batsman to stay unbeaten on 99 (last year vs RCB) and also get dismissed on 99. His team lost both the games (RCB notched their first win after 6 losses last year). Raina has a 99* too
  3. The other 3 players to get out on 99 are Virat Kohli, Prithvi Shaw and Ishan Kishan. All of them have been Indian U-19 captains in world cups. Further, the Prithvi and Kishan games went to the Super Over. An RCB vs DD game in 2013 ended up in a super over too, but the game in which Kohli got 99 was the other leg of RCB vs DD 2013
  4. Mumbai Indians have used just 13 players in this IPL so far, with 8 players playing all the 12 games. Now that they are assured a top 2 finish, they might rest a few players and test their bench strength
  5. The last time MI lost 2 back to back games in a year was in 2018. This year, every team has lost two in a row at least once except MI
  6. MI is the only team to beat every other team at least once this year. They achieved this feat in 2010, 2013, 2015 and 2017 previsouly, playing the finals in 2010 and winning the trophy in other 3 years
