As you know, the IPL will have an all-stars match with the best players taking on each other. One team will consist of players from Delhi, Punjab, Kolkata, and Rajasthan, whereas the other team will consist of players from Chennai, Mumbai, Bangalore, and Hyderabad. Now, it might seem tilted towards the second team, but because the quality will be so high on both sides, either team can win. What do you guys think the 11s of both teams will be? I think it will be something like this.
Team 1 (Delhi, Punjab, Kolkata, and Rajasthan):
- KL Rahul
- Jos Buttler
- Shreyas Iyer
- Rishabh Pant (wk)
- Dinesh Karthik
- Ben Stokes
- Andre Russell
- Kagiso Rabada/Pat Cummins
- R Ashwin
- Kuldeep Yadav
- Mohammed Shami
Team 2 (Chennai, Mumbai, Bangalore, and Hyderabad):
- David Warner
- Rohit Sharma
- Virat Kohli
- AB De Villiers
- MS Dhoni (wk)
- Hardik Pandya
- Krunal Pandya/Ravindra Jadeja
- Rashid Khan
- any foreign pacer
- Jasprit Bumrah
- Yuzvendra Chahal
Holy shit, now that I look at it, Team 2 seems stronger on paper. A top four of Warner, Rohit, Virat, and AB is probably the best in the world; and a bowling attack with Rashid (the best T20 spinner) and Bumrah (the best t20 pacer) isn't too bad either. But as I said earlier, both teams are so good that on their day, anybody can win.
What do you guys think?
