Sir Everton Weekes, the last of the 3 W's, from the West Indies passed away at age 95. The other 2 W's sir Clyde Walcott and Sir Frank Worrell have already left the world, but the 3 W's have left a rich legacy of cricket to be talked about. Weekes was the best among them taking with himself a record of 5 successive centuries in tests, which has never been rivaled in cricket to this day. What a batsman.
Nitin Menon has been inducted into the Elite panel of ICC umpires, replacing Nigel Llong. Ravi, the Indian umpire has been omitted from the panel.
Bracey with 85 & Lawrence with 48 stole the show in the warm up match in England, almost staking a claim for the 1st test between West Indies and England.
