Could Kallis reasonably have bowled 30 overs a game throughout his career and finished with 400+ wickets? For this to happen he might have had to bat at six.
Obviously they were both from very different periods, and their batting couldn't be more different, but I think when it comes to their bowling, their differences in strike rate is an interesting point of difference.
Sobers bowled 50+ overs in 25% of Test matches played, and bowled more overs per game than any other seam bowler today. Kallis on the other hand usually bowled 15 to 25 overs per game; a huge difference.
