Weather: around 18°C and partly cloudy. Should get an uninterrupted game

Win predictor: 51.2/48.8 England

Stats™

First England vs Australia game to air on BBC since the 1997 Oval Test 23 years ago.

After his knock in the first match, Dawid Malan has the highest T20i average of any batsman to have scored more than 500 runs (51.58)

Also here’s a funny quote from David Warner "It was the first time I've been here [England] and not been abused. It was quite nice."

ESPN Preview

Who to watch (my opinion):

England: Bairstow has struggled against opening quicks recently. Of the 7 T20is he’s played this year he failed to score more than 10 on 3 occasions, but of then 4 when he’s gone past 10 he’s scored more than 30 thrice. If he can survive Starc and Cumdog we could be in for some fireworks but that’s a big if.

Australia: Glenn Maxwell’s last T20i before this series was against Sri Lanka in October of 2019 where he scored 62. His last match before that was against India in February of 2019 where he had scores of 56 and 113. We all know how dangerous he can be when he find form, but rust is a probably a factor in his failure in the first match. Looking forward to see how he bounces back.
