India's series Down under is generating a lot of interest. Any series against the Aussies in their own territory wont be devoid of any banter & thats for sure. Steven Smith, who did not play against India in the last series has thrown a open challenge to the Indian pace bowlers by telling them to show the short stuff against him. Kiwi left arm pacer Neil Wagner gave him a tough time by bowling in between the shoulders and the ribs & kept him very quiet. Probably, he is expecting India to do it to him & thats the reason, he is psychologically throwing the challenge to India. Former Indian great, Tendulkar has said that, the Indian bowlers should bowl to him at his 5th stump meaning to get the ball further away from the batsman to force an error, due to Smith's pronounced shuffling towards the off stump. Its going to be a nice battle waiting to happen in the day night test with the pink ball at the Adelaide oval.
The inaugural Lanka premier league is finally going to kick off & should provide exciting cricket.
New Zealand all rounder Colin De Grandhomme is out of the test series v West Indies with a injury.
On Friday, its England South Africa t20 series, a nice spectacle in the offing.
